Pharmacology

So many drugs, so little time. To remember! For med school! Seriously, you really do have to know so many different medications, from antimicrobials to antineoplastics to anti-inflammatories. We’ll help you keep them all straight, along with their indications, mechanisms of action, and side effects, so you’ll never mix up gemcitabine and emtricitabine again.

Pathophysiology

The human body is a marvel of microscopic mystery, a cornucopia of complex chemistry, a festival of fiddly frickin facts. Unfortunately, all of that amazing alliteration can go terribly awry, leading to an unfathomably wide array of diseases, syndromes, and other conditions. And while you don’t have to know them all, you’re sure responsible for an awful lot of them. With a dash of ancient adventure, a splash of futuristic fun, and a sprinkle of bighead balloons, we’ll make sure it all stays in your mind. It’s medicine memory magic!

Immunology

Once upon a stem-cell, there was a kingdom that came under attack. With natural killer assassins setting the stage for an epic immunological battle, get ready for an learning experience that will unveil the secrets of the body's defense mechanisms like you’ve never seen before.

Biochemistry

Sure, we could talk about the intricacies of DNA synthesis, or how hard it is to keep the lysosomal storage diseases straight, or even how impossible it can seem to remember all those B vitamins. But we know why you’re here: you have to memorize the Krebs cycle. Well good news! Take a spin on our TCA Teacup ride and you’ll never forget it. Plus we’ve got all that other stuff covered too, just in case.

Anatomy

Gonna be a surgeon? You’re gonna need to know this cold. Not gonna be a surgeon? Plot twist, you still need to know this cold. But no worries, we’ll make it fun! Take a Viking voyage through the cranial nerves and sail the high seas on our lung ship—we’ll even play games with your heart. No seriously, we made the chambers of the heart into a board game. You’ll see.

Physiology

The Frodo to Path’s Sauron, the Luke to its Vader, the LaCroix to its Spindrift (that last one may be a bit of a hot take). In Physio, we’ll talk about what goes on inside you when everything is going to plan—when the sun is shining, the trains are running on time, and the HPA axis is keeping your cortisol levels juuuuust right. The cardiac cycle, renal gradients, even the f*#&! coagulation cascade: we’ve got all the good stuff here.

Biostatistics & Epidemiology

Yea, sure—you went into medicine so you wouldn’t have to do math anymore. But even if you never do a second of research, you still need to be table to tell the difference between an RCT and a case control study, and keep correlations and regressions straight (or… curved?).
