Can I apply individually for a Sketchy Scholarship?
The Sketchy Scholars program does not grant scholarships to individual students. Sketchy Scholars partners directly with organizations for underrepresented communities. These groups are responsible for distributing programs to members most in need of Sketchy’s support.
How do you select which organizations are a part of Sketchy Scholars?
At Sketchy, we believe that our medical system must reflect the rich ethnic and racial diversity of the communities it serves. To realize this goal, we partner with organizations that empower students of all backgrounds to succeed and have a positive impact on their communities. We recognize that each organization that applies to Sketchy Scholars has a unique set of needs and our team does our best to distribute scholarships in a fair and equitable way.
What organizations are a part of Sketchy Scholars?
Sketchy Scholars currently partners with the Association Of Native American Medical Students (ANAMS), Student National Medical Association (SNMA), PAs Of Color (PAC), and National Society Of Black PAs (NSBPA). Is my organization eligible for Sketchy Scholars?
Sketchy Scholars partners with organizations that meet the following criteria: 1) Organization is classified as a Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 2) Members are students enrolled in pre-med, medicine, pharmacy, PA, or nursing programs in North America. 3) Organization is able to identify and distribute programs to those under-represented students most in need of Sketchy’s support.
Do I have any obligations once I receive the scholarship?
Not at all. Sketchy Scholars is focused on providing support to help under-represented students succeed in their academic studies and high stakes exams.
How can I apply for my organization to be a part of Sketchy Scholars?
If your organization meets the eligibility requirements listed above, please complete and submit the form at the bottom of this page. Sketchy will be in touch if your organization is a good fit and there are still Sketchy scholarships available in the current calendar year.
If I am already a Sketchy student, can I participate in Sketchy Scholars?
Any student currently enrolled in pre-med, medicine, pharmacy, PA, or nursing programs in North America is eligible to receive a scholarship. If you are already an active Sketchy student, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship through one of the Sketchy Scholar organizations in order to extend your access.
How many scholarships does Sketchy award each year?
We have a limited number of full and partial scholarships available annually. The number of awards for each organization will be determined and allocated by Sketchy on a rolling basis.Please understand that we cannot grant every scholarship request. Each application is reviewed on an individual basis and approved based on the level of resources available in the Sketchy Scholars fund.
